Recipe Making:
A predefined procedure for R&D is followed by
BRI’s rubber techno-expert team for making a
quality formulation, to ensure that the end
product should be stable enough and serve its
purpose (resistance & working temperature) for
the period it is specified for.
Rubber compound recipe includes the following:
1. Polymer types and their quantification;
2. Oils, softeners, fragments of accelerators,
antidegradants, waxes, processing admixtures and
free sulphur;
3. Sulphur content;
4. Carbon Black type & content;
5. Inorganic compound ingredients;
6. Accelerators and Antidegradants;
7. Stiffening materials.
There may be chances that while large-scale
production, there may be powder loss, which may
lead to error in executing a perfect formulator
batch. Thus each compound is tested and recorded
under a document called Rubber Compound
Analysis.
Immediately all the minor changes are made to
the formulation, that recipe is documented for
production department. This full recipe is then
broken down to chemical department & rubber room
department. Weighing each and every item per lot
then starts actual production.
Raw Material Issue Slip:
BRI’s Raw material department issues all the
materials, which are used per shift by
production department. All entries are made
under RMIS to ensure that total of all batch
produced and total raw materials issued matches.
Any error, if found, is crosschecked immediately
to rectify until the stock is matched to actual
with physical.
Production Process:
The control of the manufacturing of high quality
rubber products is a sum of numerous control
factors. BRI’s Production Department expertise
is to execute and control:
• Compounds & their mixing
• Handling of reinforcing materials
• Rubber processing systems, i.e.
1 Fabrication of different components
2 Molding techniques
3 Milling, Calendaring, Extrusion and
assembly
4 Vulcanization
• Power transmission, compressed air,
hydraulics, heating and cooling facilities,
temperature and pressure control.
• Maintenance & calibration
• Inspection & packing
• Documentations & records
• Energy conservations
• Material re-use
• Factory cleanliness & Hygiene
• First aid kit
BRI’s production process is controlled on an
on-going basis to ensure that the quality level
stays constant. The manufacturing process of
synthetic rubber starts by manufacturing of raw
rubber. The first step in this process is
polymerization. This is a chemical reaction,
where monomers are joined together to form
polymers. Natural rubber is collected in
polymerized form. The operator is very well
Information is gathered and documented at the
various process stages to allow the monitoring
of changes and deviations. If there is any
observed change, immediate action is taken by
giving proper treatment to the product.
BRI’s machineries are modern and with high
qualified operators operating those machineries
knows at what stage the rubber + additives is to
be mixed to produce for perfect use at next
process stage. They are qualified enough and
come under skilled labors. Top rubber
technocrats & expert mechanical team conduct
BRI’s training program on regular basis. Minute
error in processing may lead to scrap of raw
rubbers. Personnel are made smart enough to know
by examining weather the rubber is properly
masticated, mixed, cured, etc.
BRI gives assured guarantee of the quality after
following above strict methodology.
