PURE POLYETHYLENE |
Pure Polyethylene is often used as a moderator
to slow fast neutrons to thermal energies. To be
most effective in these applications it is
important to maximize the hydrogen content and
minimize impurities that absorb neutrons. It is
in high purity & Ultra high molecular weight
polyethylene. Polyethylene is available in
slabs, bricks, cylinders, rods, and tubes of
different sizes and can be manufactured into
custom molds to create application specific
shielding forms.
